Monofocal carrier lenses
Also called Single Vision lenses, which correct for only one distance. If they correct for far distance, the user’s eyes must accommodate to see clearly up close. For young eyes (under 40) this is easy, but the ability to accommodate declines with age and some may need an adjusted correction for near/intermediate distances, or alternatively, a multifocal lens.
Multifocal lenses
Multifocal lenses (also called progressive or varifocal lenses) combine multiple optical powers in the same lens, without any visible lines. Multifocals are the modern evolution of bifocals, where you can do away with swapping your glasses each time you change from one distance to another. It is easy to adjust to multifocals in your loupes in a work situation.
Protective Coatings & Filters
ExamVision loupes come with advanced anti-reflective coatings that improve clarity, resist scratches, and protect your eyes from harmful UV and Blue light, ensuring lasting comfort and safety.
Hi-index lenses
Hi-index lenses are lighter and thinner than ordinary lenses. They provide a more elegant-looking loupe that is far more comfortable to wear.
ExamVision uses Hi-index lenses as standard in all loupes.
Vision+Lens Protection (VLP) Coatings
VLP coatings add extra scratch resistance, reduce glare, repel dust and smudges, and block 99% of harmful UV light. Standard on all ExamVision loupes.
Extra protection against Blue-Violet light
Protect yourself. High quality work depends on healthy eyes.
BlueLight Protection (BLP)
BLP lenses shield your eyes from harmful UV and Blue-Violet light common in LED environments. They provide 3× stronger protection than standard lenses, reducing long-term risks like eye strain and degeneration. Recommended for professionals working under bright clinic lighting.

BlueLight Protection (BLP) can be added as a coating, filter, or built into the lenses.
